The Apple TV app arrived together with the PlayStation 5 which is now available in different parts of the world. The tech giant thought it might not be fair for some gamers who haven’t gotten their console yet and content using the older hardware then provided the service also on PlayStation 4. The application’s sole purpose is to highlight Apple TV+, a subscription-based library of originals including The Morning Show and Mythic Quest: Raven’s Banquet.
Introducing this Apple TV to the PS4 and PS5 is a huge expansion for Apple. The company’s streaming platform is now available on a host of different devices, including some special Samsung and LG TVs, most Roku and Amazon Fire TV players, and, Apple-made hardware including the iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple TV box. Sony has sold over 110 million PlayStation 4 consoles, this means that the Apple TV service is now available to even more people.
