Apple and Google are collaborating one more time, after announcing that Apple Music will be available on Google’s smart speakers and displays. Beginning early next year, the Apple TV app will be available on Chromecasts with Google TV with more Android TV OS devices to go with it.
Google gets to claim that Chromecast is now “one of the only streaming devices with all the major video subscriptions,” as it mentioned in its announcement. Though, Google’s new operating system for the Chromecast still needs to be worked on. Well Apple’s TV+ service will be available to a wider audience of people than before.
I guess all we can do now is to wait for the Apple TV app to roll out on the Android TV-based plafrom to see how good It’ll function, in the main time Google is assuring that you’ll at least “be able to see Apple Originals in your personalized recommendations and search results” and save them to your universal watchlist.
