From last year till now, we saw the US former president, Donald Trump, getting suspended from so many platforms online. Though, some bans are permanent, while others may still be lifted.
For example, YouTube may allow Trump to upload videos to his .79 million subscribers if only they spot a change in terms. But the main question is;
Will YouTube Bring Donald Trump Back Soon
According to CNBC, YouTube CEO Susan Wojcicki has said that the suspension on the account of former US President Donald Trump will be lifted once the risk of violence declines.
Trump got banned from YouTube on January 12, six days after rioters forced their way into the US Capitol in a failed attempt to overturn his defeat in the 2020 US presidential election. Allegations were laid on him for using platforms to demonstrate violent acts.
YouTube said Trump’s account had attempted to upload a video that violated its policies. This prompted an automatic seven-day suspension, as per YouTube guidelines. That suspension would be extended, due to “a potential for the ongoing violence.”
“I do want to confirm that we will lift the suspension of the channel (…) when we determine that the risk of violence has decreased,” said Wojcicki at an Atlantic Council event.
So essentially, YouTube’s still thinking about what it’ll do with Trump’s account. In a similar vein, Facebook’s Oversight Board is to determine whether Trump will get his Facebook and Instagram accounts back.
Donald Trump Return To Social Media
We’ve all heard of the rumors of him trying to develop his own app. That’s something some people look forward to seeing. Trump not being present on social media has given a lot of people joy, and also a loss for others.
It’s not certain the former president will be able to get all his accounts unbanned.
