Facebook Dark Mode – Dark mode is one of the latest features from Facebook. The dark mode also knows as “Night Mode” has a dark interface and attractive look. Most users of Facebook are not aware of this new feature, this new feature was released into Facebook as an update on Facebook under the 4.6.5 new version of Facebook released on 20th of January 2020.
This dark mode feature is preferred by most users of Facebook who has the knowledge of this feature. the dark mode is good scientifically because it reduces eye strain in low light conditions. this mode is one of its first kind introduced to a social networking platform.

The dark mode has now become more common than ever. Most apps being produced by companies now put it “Dark Mode” in their apps not just because it looks cool but also because it helps the human eye. The dark mode is a very good and exciting mode which I feel very Facebook users should take note of it. because when you use the Facebook app at a point in time the light of your screen may become bright to your eyes and that is where the DARK MODE comes in because it will deem the light so that the intensity of the light won’t affect your eyesight.
But as good as this feature may seem, it is restricted to some users. By that I mean the dark mode is only available in Facebook Lite, Messenger, and on desktop. Is it not available in the main FB app, but the company has promised to fix that in due time.
How To Activate Dark Mode
- Install your Facebook app
- Move down and click on the settings and privacy options
- Here you will see the dark mode and some other options
- Click on the dark mode option and activate it
