Facebook Dark Mode On iOS – The dark mode is finally coming to iPhones, but only to a specific group of users. The company started test running dark mode on Android earlier this year, then brought Facebook dark mode to the desktop in May.
Dark mode has become a very common visual option for apps lately. It converts the background color to black, while the text becomes white. That makes the app easier to see and use for some people.
The social networking giant has said that dark mode helps reduce screen glare, especially in low lite settings. It also saves on battery life, since you don’t need to use the highest brightness.
How To Enable Facebook Dark Mode On iOS
Now, the dark mode is becoming available on iPhones and you can activate it using these easy steps:
- Log into your Facebook account.
- Tap the three lines at the far right side of the bottom menu bar.
- Click on Settings & Privacy.
- Select Dark Mode
Note: This feature is not available for all iOS users yet. Facebook is testing its iPhone app version on a select group of users before rolling it out with iOS 14. Other Facebook-owned apps already have it, including Messenger, Whatsapp, and Instagram.
