Facebook Lite Dark Mode – FB lite is the latest app of the company to obtain a dark mode. We knew Facebook was working on a dark mode for its apps some time, but in a surprise move, Facebook rolled out dark mode to its ‘Lite’ app before its standard mobile experience.
It all started when the company announced a visual refresh named “Facebook 5,” which was unveiled at the company’s 2019 F8 developer conference. Since the Facebook app and desktop experience were shifting to match the Messenger experience, it seemed likely that Facebook would gain dark mode as the messenger had it.
However, while we were all waiting for the company to roll out dark mode in its main app, the company moved it out in its Facebook Lite app. Apparently, Lite is a lower version of Facebook created for people with slower connections as low as 2G or for people who want to save data usage and only contains about 2.21MB of your space.
How To Activate Facebook Lite Dark Mode
Start using dark mode with these easy steps:
- If you don’t have Facebook already, go to your Google Play Store and download it.
- But if you do, make sure it is updated to the latest version:
- Then, head to the settings tab by clicking on the hamburger icon ( the three-line symbol) in the top right corner of your page.
- Scroll down and you should see the “Dark Mode” option.
Now you can switch the dark mode on and off whenever you feel lite. Unfortunately, this feature is out yet for iOS users and the FB Lite isn’t also available in Canada yet. But the company is working really hard to see that its users all over the world enjoy this feature.
