Facebook Messenger set to add new privacy controls to aid users limit who they can receive messages from. The new settings coming with the Messenger app gives users the option to have total control on who can send them messages or call them directly, and who goes to their requests folder.
The social media giant affirmed that the features added to Messenger are similar to those added to Instagram last December. Asides the feature which will be introduced to Messenger that put control on who you receive calls and messages on the app, there are still some other new things added. One of which is, a feature that automatically blurs images sent by individuals who are not your friends on Facebook. This particular feature protects users from spam. The app lock feature is being made official by Facebook.
Also, security on Messenger has been taken to an entirely different level as users can make use of fingerprint and face authentication to access messages.
