1) Become an Influencer
When it comes to social media, think of influencers as celebrities. They drive conversations and get people talking about a topic or brand that might not normally be at the forefront of their minds. Influencers are valued for their insight, perspective, and content creation skills, so if you’re able to use these tactics in your own marketing strategy and then create meaningful conversations on social media around your own brand or content, there’s no question that being an influencer can result in big paydays for you—just be sure you do it right! Here are some tips on how to make money from being an influencer.
2) Affiliate Marketing
Sign up for an affiliate marketing program such as Amazon Associates, Share-A-Sale, or Impact Radius. Then look for merchants who offer products relevant to your niche and sign up for their affiliate program. If you are promoting a product line on your website, look for complimentary products – that is, other products that typically are purchased together. For example, if you sell music instruments, consider signing up with a company that sells studio lighting and sound equipment.

3) Sell Items on Etsy
If you’re creative and enjoy crafts, selling on Etsy is an amazing way to make money online. While you can sell your finished products there, Etsy is also great for selling your handmade supplies such as bracelets, necklaces, ornaments, and more. As long as you have a solid customer base (which takes time and patience), you could easily make several hundred dollars each month from doing something that you love. 4) Buy and Resell Items
Setting up your own store is a great way to earn some extra cash, but it does take some work (see #4 for more details). With sites like eBay and Amazon FBA, you can buy other people’s products and sell them on Amazon. It doesn’t have to be that hard! If you use Amazon FBA, they will handle most of the work and it won’t cost you anything except a small referral fee (which totally makes up for their $99/month fee). 5) Digital Fulfillment
Fulfillment by Amazon is a service where sellers on Amazon send their inventory to an Amazon warehouse, where it is stored, picked, packed, and shipped. All of these are done automatically so you don’t have to do anything. You can sign up as an individual seller or set up an account with a company like V Fulfillment which takes care of all that for you (for a fee). Seller Central is what you use when selling on Amazon as an individual. I used them for about 6 months before moving over to third-party fulfillment with amazon because I wanted more control over my listings and shipping options than they could offer me through their interface.

6) Sell Your Writing
A lot of people dream of making money off their writing, but for many writers, that can be a tall order. You don’t have to become an Oprah-level bestseller in order to make some extra income from your work. In fact, some genres and niches have strong markets online. For example, if you enjoy children’s books, you could create your own eBook and sell it through platforms like Amazon Kindle Direct Publishing or Kobo Writing Life. You could also write articles and sell them on freelance sites like Upwork. Or you might want to try something different; photography is a skill that many freelance writers specialize in and enjoy making an income from as well.
7) Do Freelance Work
If you are well-skilled in any capacity, you can use your skills to make money from home. There is plenty of freelance work online that you can do in order to generate an income. Most freelancing websites have a long list of projects waiting for workers and you can pick a subject that appeals to you and get started right away. If you possess special skills or talents that not many people have, selling these services online is a great way to bring in some extra cash when it’s convenient for you.
