The newly added Explore and Favorites tab on Google Photo’s web version now makes it easier to find photos. All Android and iOS users has always allowed users to maneuver and locate things, places, and mark photos. It even better now becaue you find photos as easily on the web as you’ve been doing on your smartphones.
Explore Tab in Google Photos For Web
As of now, if you head to Google Photos, you’ll see a new option called Explore in the left sidebar. It’s totally the same as the Search feature found in Google Photos mobile apps.
If you click on Explore, it will take you to a page where you’ll find some of your photos in a grid-view. Going further you’ll notice your photos are divided into two different categories – Place and Things. With other new features listed at the bottom of the page as well.
The Places section holds all your photos that have a particular place marked in them. While the Things section helps you quickly find real-life objects such as towers and parks in your photos.
How to Locate Your Favorite Photos on Google Photos Web
Google Photos for the web has added the Favorites option right in the Library section on the left sidebar. Clicking on this item reveals all the photos that you’ve marked as favorites in this photo management service.
With the favorites available on the web, you don’t your smartphone to find the photos that you’ve chosen to keep separate from the others.

It might take a while before you can access these features. Google isn’t in a rush to launch it. t won’t be too long before you start to notice these two options in your Google Photos account. Just keep checking the web version of this photos service, and you’ll see the new tabs as soon as Google rolls them out for you.
