These technological marvels have made it easier than ever to stay connected with family, friends, and colleagues – but with this greater connectivity comes greater responsibility, as people are now more vulnerable than ever before to cybercrime and other forms of online fraud and abuse.
An Introduction to the Challenges
If you’re a techie (with decent grammar and spelling), your chances of winning might just be higher than you think.
Google usually asks for an introduction to your startup, an overview of its features and its unique value proposition.
It also wants to know how your startup will make an impact on people and/or businesses in five years.
And what’s most important is that you state clearly why Google should choose your company instead of someone else’s—including competitors.
Knowing these things ahead of time gives you a huge advantage over others who go into pitch meetings unprepared or lacking key information about their companies and products.
How it Works?
It’s simple. Google will set a challenge, and all of you will compete to solve it! Your work should benefit humanity in some way, such as improving efficiency, comfort or quality of life.
Then we’ll choose our favourite solutions and send teams from around the world to take part in a global technology competition hosted by us here at Google headquarters in Mountain View, California.
The winner? They get $1 billion (yes – that is a B) to invest in their solution and run it as a business – just like we do with our investments!
Entries and Submission
Google’s main goal with Google Solution is to discover and identify innovative and global issues which can be resolved with technology and to encourage students from all over to participate in these challenges.
Well’ I guess the submission of forms stated on the 15th of march 2022. Student innovators can submit their entries by March 31, 2022.
In order to submit an entry students need to register on Google’s website and they have a chance of winning cash prizes worth $25,000-$200,000.
Think Big & Start Small
After you’ve created your business plan, it’s time to start thinking about what sort of challenges your new venture might face, and how best to tackle them.
The trick is getting started on a solution. If you have any sense of what kind of industry your new company will enter, consider potential challenges—such as those listed in your business plan—and then brainstorm a few possible solutions.
Obviously, not all are viable; some may seem too obvious or farfetched at first glance.
Try writing down all sorts of ideas no matter how crazy they sound — it helps to get things out of your head and onto paper so you can develop them into real solutions.
The Grand Prize Winner receives $10 million USD in AdWords ad vouchers.
Google AdWords ad vouchers are pre-paid credit that Google gives to companies and other organizations so they can place text-based advertising on our search results pages, webpages, and mobile apps.
Each voucher contains a code that is redeemed with AdWords for 1 cent worth of ad serving. Vouchers may be used in any country where our products are available.
The Grand Prize Winner will receive $10 million USD worth of vouchers (10 Million USD x 1 cent = 10 Million Ad Words Vouchers).
Second place winner will receive $7.5 million USD in AdWords ad vouchers.
The winning school in our challenge will not only be rewarded with $7.5 million USD worth of AdWords ad vouchers, but also get to announce its newly launched app on our global stage and take home Google swag!
The top 5 schools receive $10,000 USD worth of AdWords ad vouchers each. In addition, we’re giving out $10,000 in scholarship to one outstanding student from each school who participated in their regional round.
You don’t have to be a genius or computer whiz kid to compete in our challenge – just your curiosity and passion for technology is all you need!
