How to Download Music Directly From Spotify to Your Phone – you’ll be able to download music from Spotify so you have to be charged anytime you use the platform.
Spotify is an online music streaming platform. Although, you tend to lose the music you listen to the moment you’re offline.
Join me in an adventure to know the hidden secrets to download music on Spotify for offline play.
Requirements to Download Music on Spotify
First of all, you need to download the Spotify app and become a Premium member. As a Premium member, you can download your music all at once from either albums or playlists. Unfortunately, free users are limited to downloading podcasts on their phones. Only Spotify Premium members can listen to any music without an offline connection.
Limits to Spotify Downloads
Basically, there are two conditions you should be aware of.
Like Youtube where your download stays for 30 days, it’s quite the opposite here. To keep your music downloaded, you need to go online at least once every thirty days. Your songs automatically get removed from your device if you miss the deadline.
If you have your account signed into five different devices, your download limit is 10,000 songs. If you download anything more, you’ll lose prior downloads.
How to Download From Spotify
Make sure your Premium account is always logged in whenever you want to download songs from Spotify. The download option is only available for Premium members. If you’re a free user, then you might upgrade. All you have to do is:
- Find an album or playlist you want to download.
- Tap on the album or playlist.
- For Android users, tap the Download toggle. For iOS users, tap the clear arrow.
- Once your download is successful, you’ll see a green arrow.
Spotify’s Offline Mode And Music Manager
If you want to listen to your downloaded music alone, use Spotify’s Offline mode. Click on Spotify settings. Under Playback, tap on Offline mode.
While in Offline mode, Spotify keeps you posted on what content you have access to. If you tap on just a followed artist (no song or album likes), Spotify will remind you to go online with a pop-up notification.
If you search for an artist, playlists, or album with non-downloaded music, they’ll come out as grayed or remain hidden. If you want to unhide songs, click on unplayed songs under Playback.
When it comes to sorting currently downloaded music, Spotify’s management also hinges around its download button. If you need to clear space or redownload to another storage device, tap the toggle button or green arrow (depending on your device) on any already downloaded music to delete it. If you need to redownload, it’s as simple as tapping the respective button type once more.
