The Twitch Auto Host Feature and How It Works
The Auto host feature helps to keep your channel active when you’re offline and it doesn’t interfere with your broadcast when you are live. It only comes up 3 minutes after inactivity. It basically helps to keep your channel active. Here’s how to set it up.
Click on the “Channel Settings” option and navigate to the Auto host section and click on it. It would lead you to the settings of the Auto host. Tap on the draw to turn on the Auto host feature and to customize the setting to your preference. Go to “Host List” and select the channels you would want to add to your auto host list. You can do this by searching the name of the channel and adding it to your list. Still, in the Auto host setting, you can decide to turn on the “Team Hosting”, and this would prioritize the official team channels over your hosting list. You can also choose your Host Priority in your channel list by choosing either to “Host streams randomly from the list” or to “Host streams by the order they are in the list”. Also, remember to save your settings by clicking on “Save Changes” before you exit.
