Facebook has launched its Avatar feature for users all over the world. It’s similar to Snapchat’s Bitmoji and Apple’s Memoji. This feature allows Facebook users to create a cartoon version of themselves.
“So much of our interactions these days are taking place online, which is why it’s more important than ever to be able to express yourself personally on Facebook,” Fidji Simo, the head of Facebook’s app, said in a post.
“With so many emotions and expressions to choose from, avatars let you react and engage more authentically with family and friends across the app,” Simo added.

This feature is available for both iOS and Android users. For everything you do or any event you celebrate, these avatars can be used as representatives to express yourself. The best part is that you can use these avatars on another platform outside Facebook like Twitter, Snapchat, or Instagram. How To Create Facebook Avatars
- Open the Facebook app on your iOS and Android device.
- Click on the hamburger icon on your home page.
- Scroll down and click on “See More”
- Tap on “Avatars”
- Next, “Get Started”
- Select a skin tone that suits you
- Now you have to select things like hairstyle, hair color, face shape, eye shape and color, makeup, eyebrows, nose shape, facial hair, body shape, outfit, and so on
- You can customize your avatar however you want
- If you need a reminder of what you actually look like, just tap on the mirror icon at the top right of the screen to open your phone’s front-facing camera
- When you’re done, tap the checkmark in the top right corner of your screen
- Click “Done”
To see the different Avatar stickers, tap on the sticker icon, or if you’d like to make any changes to your avatar, click on the pencil icon.
