Discord is a chat, voice, and video software that provides a platform primarily for gamers to connect with themselves and interact while playing games. The discord app among its other functions is to make gaming experience lively as it gives you competitors if you need some, and an audience if you need one, it also connects you with people who love the same games as you do, hence you can share your tips and tricks and learn from others also.
Sharing your screen in discord certainly adds more flare and gives you real-time interaction with your audience, while hosting the stream, you could show them the cool stuff you’re up to and also request their help if you’re having difficulties with a level. To share your screen on discord, you would have to do it through the “Go Live” streaming feature. You can either share your screen from the server and thanks to the new addition you can also share your screen from your chat page.
Sharing Your Screen from Your Chat Page
It is important to note that you can only use this feature on the desktop or Web version of discord, as the mobile version is not enabled to access this feature. First, navigate to your call tab and click on “Share your screen” icon (The desktop icon with a tick on it). Next, you can decide to choose to share the screen of a particular application by selecting “Applications” or share your screen fully by selecting “Screens”. Then scroll to the right end of the page and click on “Go live”. Now you can share your screen with your chat group and when you’re done sharing, you can change your screen by clicking on the downward arrow icon which is in the desktop icon.

Sharing Your Screen on The Server
Also, note that you can only share your screen while using the desktop or Web version of discord. To share on the server, first, ensure that your permissions for Go Live are enabled, then connect to a voice channel from the server and click on the “Go Live” (The desktop icon) just beside “Voice Connected”. On the ensuing tab, you can decide to choose to share screen of a particular application by selecting “Applications” or share your screen fully by selecting “Screens”. Then scroll to the right end of the page and click on “Go live”. Now you can share your screen with your chat group and when you’re done sharing, you can change your screen by clicking on the downward arrow icon which is in the desktop icon. You can only watch a stream or join with your discord mobile app, but you can’t host a live stream.
