Their duties are mostly made during the period there is about to be a bridge in the contract and the insured is making a requirement of a claim. It is the claim adjuster that goes ahead to getting certain information of which was given is it was true or not and it is worthy to note that at the point in time; any information that is passed to insurance by the claim, that is what to an extent will determine if the insurance warrant is true or it was misrepresented, that is what will determine to extent of his claim, that is what will also determine how fast you can be paid your claim or it could also give reasons as to why your claims can not be handled for the now.
The role of the claim adjuster in every insurance company can never be underestimated or overemphasized because they help create and maintain a sense of decorum and transparency in the system. The following are the different roles performed by a claim adjuster and they include:
- Verifying an insurance policy that is existing between both parties and they are the insured (this happens to be the one that is covered) and the Insurance firm itself (this happens to be the one who is giving the protection).
- Ensuring the third party is available who can also be referred to as witness because this person will stand as a testifier; attesting to the fact that the damage actually took place at the time stipulated in the statement as written by the insured.
