The Motorola Smart Watch officially known as the Moto 360 is Motorola’s version of the smartwatch experience. Since Motorola launched the first generation of the Moto 360 in 2014, there have been upgrades to the succeeding generation of the watch (The second generation). The Moto 360 first and second generation were manufactured by Motorola themselves, but after a while, they stopped most likely because of the low demand and so much competition in the smartwatch market.
However, in 2019, a third generation of the Moto 360 was introduced by eBuyNow with a license from Motorola. With what looks almost like the same design with the first and second generation, expectations have once more risen considering what eBuyNow represents in the tech market. A general and same time careful review of the specs of the Moto 360 third generation would help us understand the quality that has been added to this valued timepiece.
- Water Resistance
This is one of the coolest features of the Moto 360, however, it isn’t new for a watch to be water-resistant, the feature just comes as reassuring. Some other smartwatches are water-resistant, but the Moto 360 can resist water penetration at 3ATM, at a depth of 30 meters. This doesn’t meet standards to use for professional swimming but it’s sure something one can use in a normal pool swim. It is also important to note that the watch is water-resistant not waterproof.
- Operating System
Though the appearance of the Moto 360 doesn’t seem to appear sophisticated (at least for a lot of people), especially when compared to other smartwatches like the Apple Watch, however, its operating system is commendable. It uses Wear Os and its processor is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 3100, which gives a good quality to the operations of the watch.
- Storage Capacity
Smart Watches are no doubt made to function similarly to a smartphone even if they run different Os. Similar to the Nubia Alpha Watch, the Moto 360 third generation comes with a 1GB RAM and 8GB internal storage (Not expandable).
- Display
From the 1.2inch circular touch screen is a 360 x 360-pixel, OLED display. Apart from the touch screen display, you can use the top side button to navigate the watch.
- Battery
Unlike its counterparts, the Moto 360 battery falls short a bit at 355mAh, but on the other hand when you consider the features of the watch aren’t exactly power consuming to drain the battery incessantly.
- Design
The Moto 360 has a huge circular watch head with a minimalist look, there is a high probability someone with a sleek taste may not take a second glance at the watch. It comes in two types of straps however, the leather and the rubber, with different colors of straps.
- Functions
The Moto 360 measures heart rate, it comes with fitness apps and Uber. Google Pay for payments and Surprisingly WhatsApp.
