Netflix prices for its standard and premium plans are being increased in the US. Before this change, the company’s standard plan for a month was $13 and has now been raised to $14. For the premium plan, it was previously $16 a month but is now $18 a month. Just the price of Netflix’s basic service remains unaltered. The basic service remains at $9 monthly.
CNBC stated that, for existing subscribers, the new pricing will kick in over the next two months, and Netflix will alert users to the changes 30 days ahead of time.
Before the increase in Netflix’s plans came to the US, people already anticipated it because the company raised prices in Canada earlier in October 2020. Also, for months now, analysts have predicted that there should be a rise in prices. At the moment, Netflix has done away with its long free trial period in the US.
In 2019, Netflix raised all its plan prices and this was the latest time before now something like this happen. If you haven’t seen the price increase option yet, just wait for it.
