Online Earning Sites – When you’re looking to make money from home, there are plenty of options out there to choose from, but which ones are the best? There are so many different ideas floating around about what’s going to get you rich and fast and which ones are actually legitimate ways to make some extra cash on the side. We researched 8 of the most promising online earning sites and ranked them according to how much they pay per hour, how quickly you can expect to start earning money, and what specific skills or prior experience you need in order to qualify. Here are our results!
1) Earnhoney
Earnhoney is a site that allows you to do fun things like take surveys, play games, and watch videos. All of these actions can lead to small amounts of money that can add up to a decent side income over time. While it may not be quite enough to live on, it’s easy money that you don’t have to earn through working at a traditional job. All in all, Earnhoney might just be your ticket out of that dead-end job! Read more about Earnhoney here.

2) Swagbucks
Swagbucks allows users to earn points (called SB) for doing things online. The points can then be redeemed for gift cards from stores including Amazon, Walmart, and PayPal. Swagbucks is especially popular with people who use ad blockers: you can get up to 255 SB per day by watching some videos and using their search engine. If you try to redeem more than that, though, you’ll lose those extra SB. Other ways to earn Swagbucks include taking surveys, watching TV commercials on their site, or even just shopping online at several major retailers like Lowe’s and Macy’s; there is a full list of additional participating partners on their website.
3) Inbox Dollars
Inbox Dollars is one of my favorite cash-earning sites because it allows you to earn money fast in ways that are fun and convenient. It’s free to join, and no matter what your demographic or background is, there’s likely a way you can make money with Inbox Dollars! This survey site was started by three friends who worked at AOL before they left to create their own company. Each friend had a specific skill that they believed would help them succeed in creating an online-based business: programming, web design, and usability. As soon as they joined forces in 2007, work began on Inbox Dollars. They launched about a year later and have been growing ever since!
4) Cash Crate
If you’re looking to get paid to shop online, you should consider signing up with Cash Crate. This is an affiliate program that pays members cash back whenever they spend money on their shopping portal. You can earn $5-$20 per day just by going through your normal web browsing and shopping habits online, making it one of the most popular and lucrative apps around. The only drawback is that you must wait at least 28 days before cashing out with your earnings. Still, if you have a few bucks saved up and want to make some more money easily, then consider using Cash Crate as your own personal coupon code site when doing shopping!
5) VIPKID
Fiverr is a global online marketplace where you can outsource work to people who will complete tasks and projects in exchange for $5. Fiverr is probably best known as a place to get a quick, inexpensive design or copywriting work done. The site has categories dedicated to writing, editing, photography, videography, graphic design and other areas of design work. If you’re looking to connect with talented freelancers that won’t cost a fortune (but still deliver high-quality results), Fiverr is one way to go.
6) Fiverr
Fiverr is a marketplace where buyers come to outsource projects (often creative) and sellers bid on project proposals. Prices are typically $5 per task, but you can sign up and offer your services at any price point you like. The more interesting gigs include logo design, 3D rendering, tech support, web development, and data entry among others. Like many online earning sites in 20222, Fiverr allows freelancers from anywhere in the world to set up shop—or virtual storefront—and build their own reputations as they work toward becoming top sellers.
7) MySurvey
If you’re interested in making money online, MySurvey is an excellent site to join. It was one of my first survey sites and although it isn’t my favorite (that would be Toluna), it still earn me a decent chunk of change. What I love about MySurvey is they offer local surveys as well as national ones. Depending on your area, they can double or triple what you would earn on a standard US survey site! The surveys are generally short in length – between 10-15 minutes long. The pay isn’t spectacular but if you’ve got a few hours and want to make some extra spending money, definitely give MySurvey a shot!
8) Survey Junkie
Take surveys and earn gift cards and other rewards. Here, you earn points that can be redeemed for cash or gift cards. Survey Junkie is a popular survey site because they are quick with payments and offer decent compensation. Some users may not like that you have to be invited to complete many surveys but if you’re looking to make some extra money on your own schedule, then it’s worth a try. Surveys range from about 20 minutes to over an hour so it’s nice that there are lots of opportunities available. Sign up through my link above if you’d like a free $3 credit when you join! Here is an in-depth review I did about Survey Junkie back in 2014.
