This repositioning first starts with you as the owner of the business. You shouldn’t be the one putting your responsibilities on people working for you. It isn’t a show of true leadership so, be guided.
The first thing to go for when repositioning your business is, Knowledge
Knowledge
Remember, “Only those who seek shall find”.
That quote is every true in every endeavor we find ourselves in life. Most business owners despise knowledge because once they are making the desired profit, all is fine. You may not know how much trouble this would put you in till you encounter a challenge in business.
NOTE: Every challenge we face in life is a revelation that there has been a shortage in knowledge.
Knowledge is what keeps every business thriving despite alterations in the economy or environment. Wise businessmen and women have always known that it is advisable to adjust your business to be in line with every notable achievement in technology. The question here is how do I go about this? Learning about that technology thoroughly will give you an idea of how to apply it in your business. The truth is, your business will shake for some time because of the alteration in the system in which both your customers and staffs are used to. So long as your customers adapt to the advancement in technology, you will discover over time that they will find the system easier for them and you will find it more effective. This is what happened with the internet.
Using the Internet as Case Study
When the internet was introduced, only visionary businessmen and woman saw it as a tool which will advance the provision of goods and services. Listening to the richest man in China, Jack Ma who is the co-founder of Alibaba Group, he expressed the challenges he faced when he spotted the internet as a more effective tool for buying and selling items. In his time of repositioning, he had to even buy some of his goods himself because people had not embraced the reality of online merchandising at that time.
Repositioning yourself is the art of being prepared for opportunities even when people are crying about the challenges staring at them in the face.
