Michelle Obama Podcast’s first episode is now on Spotify, and it was launched alongside a research feature that makes it much easier to distribute tidbits from the show on social media. Spotify has begun testing a quote-sharing feature for mobile, giving you a simple process of starting a meeting about ideas or sentiments that are produced with you, with friends or followers.
When you click the play icon on The Michelle Obama Podcast on a mobile device, the show’s page will bring out a series of available quotes, there is no need to search for them anymore. All that is required from you is tap on any of the cards to increase its sharing option.
As we speak, those options include – Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, WhatsApp, and Snapchat. Since it is just an experimental feature, though, it is currently accessible to what the company calls SELECT USERS in the US. However, it is not certain if the quote-sharing feature will be available for other podcasts during the testing period.
Spotify has given out its standard statement when it comes to testing features with its announcement: “At Spotify, we routinely conduct a number of tests in an effort to improve our user experience. Some of those tests end up paving the path for our broader user experience and others serve only as an important learning.”
The company listed out few other research features over the past few months. Earlier this year, it began testing a feature that lets influencers share Stories alongside their public playlists, followed by a real-time lyrics experiment through its contract with Musixmatch in February. It also started testing video podcasts in May before officially releasing them in June.
