On the lips of everyone are comments about Netflix’s latest documentary film, The Tinder Swindler, but is it worth the hype?
Netflix has released great movies and documentaries over the years, but its latest release “The Tinder Swindler” has got the whole of social media roaring.
Released in February 2022, the movie has been talked about by almost everyone.
The movie, as mentioned earlier is a true crime documentary, one which tells a story of an Israeli Con man who makes use of Tinder, a mobile dation application to locate individuals who he manipulates emotionally, asking them for financial support, one which for his lavish and expensive lifestyle.
Simon Leviev the main character of the Tinder Swindler movie tells a story of how he would charm women, and they’ll fall for him.
He takes the form of Casanova, buying lavish gifts, going on dinners, and vacation with the women he met via Tinder, he would show them how romantic he can be.
At the end of his encounter with these women, he would tell each of them that he’s being targeted by enemies, enemies that never exist, he’d then send them a fictitious picture indicating thar he has been attacked with a knife with his bodyguard badly injured.
He’d tell them he’s unable to make financial transactions due to breach in security. (The Tinder Swindler)
Telling his lover(s) this would make them feel sorry for him and want to help him, to help him each of them borrowed money, taking loans from banks, and getting new credit cards.
Simon after getting helped with the funds, will never pay back, he would use it to lure more victims to his scams.

The movie brings to light what many face in the dating world, being blackmailed emotionally by trusted lovers who want money only.
