When we talk about investing or investment, the first thing that comes to your mind is the art of multiplying money. Honesty, we all want to make more and more money because we desire to live comfortable lives. This isn’t bad as long as the system through which we desire to earn more money is authorized.
Opportunities can be the most beautiful thing presented to us especially when making money is involved. But the question is, Do you understand what you are going into? For a lot of persons, the answer is “NO”. We just feel it’s a nice idea so long as it looks promising. Investing is one art that requires a great level of understanding. Individuals despise this fact and that is why they end being victims of terrible investment decisions. If there is one person I must appreciate for making me understand investing to a reasonable extent, it non-other than Warren Buffet. He taught me never to invest in what I don’t understand and I discovered most billionaires and multimillionaires understand this truth too.
Reason You Shouldn’t Invest in Things You Don’t Understand
Nobody enjoys losing we all want to gain and be happy. Although, a lot of times, we want things which will give us a quick return on investment. There are several reasons you shouldn’t just jump into any investment opportunity because it’s promising:
“Wisdom is profitable to direct”
We all want to expand our capacity to receive more because we understand we are going to live even more comfortably if we have more money. Below are some reasons you shouldn’t invest in what you don’t understand:
- You may lose everything you invested.
- Frustration would set in since you don’t know what to fall to or look at when things go wrong.
- It is a show of foolishness when you invest in what you don’t understand.
- You can be easily scammed because you are only interested in returns and nothing more.
- You won’t be able to defend yourself or defend what you invested in since you don’t understand it.
- Depression and emotional instability can become your companion.
- It reveals how naïve and unwise you are.
All the above just centers on your life becoming a mess overnight. Don’t let opportunities entice you. Good understanding of principles makes life easier. If you want to suffer financially in life, ignore understanding. You can end up paying for your ignorance. It is not my wish you fall prey to wrong investments but I must tell you, before you invest in anything, seek first for a proper understanding of that system.
When I read Napoleon Hills book “Think and Grow Rich”, it opened my eyes to the fact that knowledge should be gained in everything you desire to venture into because knowledge helps you start two or three steps ahead. Don’t despise this truth, many have suffered for ignoring this. Seek understanding before doing business or investment. It will help you a lot.
