Walmart Credit Card is Walmart’s purchase tool to provide their customers with easier purchasing channels. There are 2 types of Walmart Credit Card, The Store-Only Card, and Master Card.
Store-Only Card
Walmart’s Store-only card as the name implies can only be used in Walmart and Associate Stores. This means this card type can only be in Walmart.com (The online store), Walmart Stores (Onsite Stores), Sam’s Club, Walmart Gas Stations, Murphy’s USA Gas Stations as well as Walmart Neighborhood Markets. You might be wondering if the card attracts interest rates and the answer is no, rather you can get rewards on the card when you make purchases.
By getting your Walmart Credit Card, you are automatically signed into the Walmart Rewards Program. This program gives you a percentage return or cashback for every purchase you make. When you shop at Walmart onsite stores, Sam’s Club and Neighborhood markets with your card, you earn back 1% of the total purchase. Also, when you use your Card at any Walmart or Murphy’s Gas Stations, you earn 2% back on your purchase and the most rewarding is when you use your card to shop online on Walmart.com, you earn 3% of your total purchase.
Walmart Mastercard
Unlike Walmart’s Store-only Credit Card, the Walmart MasterCard can be used to make purchases anywhere MasterCard is accepted, which means you have a wider range of options than the Store-only Credit Card. Also, like the Store-only Credit Card, Walmart MasterCard doesn’t attract interest rates. And with the Walmart MasterCard, you can also get your rewards when you shop or make purchases in Walmart Stores (Onsite), Walmart.com, Sam’s Club, Neighborhood Markets, also Walmart’s and Murphy’s USA Gas stations. Just like the rewards on the Store-only Cards, when you shop at Walmart onsite stores, Sam’s Club and Neighborhood markets, and places where MasterCard is accepted, you earn back 1% of the total purchase. Also, when you use your MasterCard at any Walmart or Murphy’s Gas Stations, you earn 2% back on your purchase and the most rewarding is when you use your MasterCard to shop online on Walmart.com, you earn 3% of your total purchase.
