Anyone who have experienced dark mode on any other app would know how interesting they can be. Facebook introduced this feature in its parent app before making it available in messaging apps. WhatsApp dark mode has more of a dark grey tone rather than a black background.

WhatsApp Dark Mode: How to Activate It on Android
- Open your app store and install the latest version of WhatsApp.
- After successfully installing, click on the app to open.
- On your homepage, tap on the three-dot menu icon on the right and select click on Settings.
- Next, tap on Chats
- Then, tap on Theme and you’ll be given an option to choose the theme for the app.
- Click on Dark
- Now you have activate the dark mode theme successfully.
You can switch back to the default theme anytime you wish. Just so you know, this method is not applicable to iOS 13 users. iPhone users who do not have iOS 13 will not be able to experience WhatsApp’s Dark Mode.

- Visit App Store on your iPhone and download the latest version of WhatsApp (2.20.30).
- Next, go to Settings on the phone and find the Display & Brightness option.
- Tap on Dark to enable system wide Dark Mode.
- Alternatively, you can go to the Control Centre and tap on Dark Mode.
